Mrs. Quintana's English Class!: Pre-Kinder

Dear parents,

These next two weeks, we will continue working with Unit 5. We will also be reviewing all skills learned during the first semester. I will not be giving an evaluation for the remainder of the semester since I will be reviewing and practicing in class. We will begin with Unit 6 in January.

Short Evaluation #4 (Friday, November 22nd)

Study the following skills:

Family Members: father, mother, sister, brother, and baby
Action words: sing, dance, play, ride a bike, and skate
Name one thing a family does together. For example: play, go on trips, share, eat together, etc.

Evaluation #3 (Friday, October 25th)

Study the following skills:

Parts of the body (head, shoulders, knees, toes, hand, fingers, leg, and toes)
Action words (bend, shake, wiggle, and clap)
5 senses (I can see with my eyes...I can hear with my ears...I can taste with my mouth...I can smell with my nose...I can touch with my hands)

Study the following skills:

Colors: red, green, orange, brown, and pink
Shapes: circle, triangle, square, star, and diamond
Big and Small

Dear parents,

The books will be in the book-bags so you can study/review for evaluation #1, but remember to always leave them there. We use the books daily in class.

*Study the following for Evaluation #1 (Thursday, September 12th):

Vocabulary: teacher, board, desk, chair, pencil, crayon, and scissors (students will look at the picture and say the name)
Magic words/phrases (students have to say: excuse me, thank you, sit down, please, and may I go to the restroom?)
I will ask their names ("What is your name?") and they have to answer: "My name is _________"
