These next two weeks, we will continue working with Unit 5. We will also be reviewing all skills learned during the first semester. I will not be giving an evaluation for the remainder of the semester since I will be reviewing and practicing in class. We will begin with Unit 6 in January.

Study the following skills:

Letter Dd, Ee, and Ii
-en family: pen, hen, ten, Jen, and den
Plurals (just like in page 76)
Opposites: long/short, fast/slow, tall/short, big/small, front/back, full/empty, happy/sad, and dirty/clean

*Study the following for Evaluation #1 (Thursday, September 12th):

Vocabulary: bunny, flower, grass, sky, fun (Student must be able to look at a picture and identify the vocabulary word.)
Story "Hello, World!" (Student has to retell the story by looking at the pictures on page 15 of the Reading book.)
Letters Bb and Ss (Students will complete the word by writing letter Bb or Ss)
Words to know: say, what, boy, sun, like (Students will read these words out loud.)
