Review for FINAL TEST:
Study the following skills:
  • Spelling words (bug, rug, cup, run, sun, nut, hut, and gum) Students will listen to the teacher and write the word on the line.
  • Vocabulary words (parakeet, bookcase, birdcage, silly, trash, and helpers) Students will fill in the blank with the correct vocabulary word.
  • Subject-Verb Agreement with PLURAL nouns: Students will circle and write the correct verb on the line.
  • Personal Pronouns: Students will circle the personal pronoun (they, we, and you) in each sentence.
  • Possessive Adjectives: Students will circle the possesive adjective (their, your, and our) in each sentence.

Review for Test (Friday, November 22nd):
Study the following skills:
  • Spelling words (dog, log, fox, dot, top, pot, box, and mop) Students will listen to the teacher and write the word on the line.
  • Vocabulary words (sled, rest, climb, idea, around, and night) Students will fill in the blank with the correct vocabulary word.
  • Subject-Verb Agreement: Part A: Students will write the correct verb on the line (just like in their Spelling book).
                                                  Part B: Students will color the boxes that have the sentence with correct verb form.
  • Possessive Nouns: Students will circle the possessive noun in each sentence.

Review for Test (Friday, October 25th):
Study the following skills:
  • Spelling words (hit, fig, hill, mitt, kit, pit, lip, win, six, and pin) Students will circle the spelling word that is written correctly.
  • Vocabulary words (train, tunnel, bridge, track, river, and hill) Students will fill in the blank with the correct vocabulary word.
  • Personal Pronouns (I, you, it, she, and he) Students will circle the personal pronoun in a sentence.
  • Possessive Adjectives (my, your, his, her, and its) Students will circle the possessive adjective in a sentence.  Also, they will match the noun to its possessive adjective like on page 29 of the Grammar book.

Study the following skills:
  • Spelling words (short Ee): net, web, leg, nest, vest, jet, bed, and ten.  I will dictate the words and the students will write them on the line.
  • Common and Proper Nouns: Students will identify common and proper nouns in a sentence and picture.
  • Vocabulary words: Students will fill in the blank with the correct vocabulary word (snow, sleeps, little, toad, harvest, and leaves).

Review for test (Friday, September 13th):

*Study the following for Test #1:
  • Vocabulary: hunt, desert, treasure, cave, forest, cross (students will fill in the blanks with the vocabulary words.  For example: 1. The bear lives in a cave.  2. The girl looks for treasure.)
  • ABC order (students will put the VOCABULARY words in ABC order.
  • Verbs (students will color/identify the verbs/action words)
  • Short Aa (students will identify words with the Short Aa sound like in APPLE...Students will match the short Aa word to its drawing).
I will be reading the test to the students and guiding them.
